Meet the Designer

Amanda is quick to recognize family members responsible for cultivating her sense of style.  Her father is a sculptor, painter, and a remodeling designer and her mother owned a popular children’s clothing boutique. Her grandmother collected jewelry from all parts of the world, which she inherited and used as her inspiration for launching what is today, her vastly growing jewelry business.

Amanda graduated from Texas Tech University with a degree in Fashion Merchandising when she was quickly recruited by Ralph Lauren’s corporate sector, where she worked for 6 years. “So much of my foundation with merchandising and working with color was easily incorporated into my jewelry.  Creating assortments, defining market and consumer trends was all funneled into designing the perfect jewelry line, which has always been a passion. It was a natural transition.”

An admirer and collector of jewelry at an early age, Amanda decided to participate in a Sunday workshop to learn the basic technique of wire-wrapping. In three hours Amanda learned enough to begin her own style of designing and creating jewelry, improving and evolving her technique year after year.  A rarity in today’s jewelry, Amanda designs “what she wants to wear” completely by hand.  Attracted by her quality and hand-made work, stores appreciate her craftsmanship and her designs have been selected and sold through stores such as Anthropologie, Kate Spade, Sundance Catalog, and the Golden Bear Catalog, amongst several high-end boutiques globally.

Amanda’s work has been featured in several notable presses, such as InStyle, Cosmopolitan, Real Simple, and on The View television show.  Voted ‘Best of Dallas’ in jewelry designing for 2009 by D Modern Luxury Magazine (Dallas edition), and voted ‘Best Jewelry Designer in Dallas, 2010’ by D Magazine.
